The Bespoke Process
The Consultation
For Bespoke, we suggest booking an appointment so we can work together with you to create a piece entirely personal to you. This can be virtual or in-studio.
You may arrive with a clear vision, a reference image, or simply an idea of how you wish to feel. From there, we explore shapes, materials and colour, offering expert guidance to ensure the design feels both considered and effortless.
We always ask that you bring your outfit or fabric swatches with you to your appointment. This way, we can work with the colours and silhouette when trying on pieces to find the perfect hat for the occasion.
The Atelier
Following your consultation, your piece is thoughtfully developed and handcrafted in our atelier, taking around 2 or 3 appointments. A deposit will be taken at the first appointment, and you'll be invited back for a fitting, or you'll be called once the piece is complete for a final try-on.
From selecting the appropriate base to refining trims and details, the process is guided by traditional millinery techniques and a couture approach to craftsmanship, resulting in a personalised, unique creation.
Every stage is intentional, ensuring the final piece feels refined, timeless and entirely your own.
The Finishing Touch
Once complete, your piece is fitted and perfected. Any final adjustments are made to ensure comfort, fit and proportion are just right.
Your bespoke hat is then carefully finished and prepared for collection or delivery — ready to be worn with confidence on the day it was created for.

FAQs
Can I have something made if I'm not based in London?
Yes, of course! We are happy to correspond by email, sharing images of outfits and samples, or I can take video appointments from here in the studio via Zoom and WhatsApp. We recommend a video appointment to see what will suit you and get an idea of what you need.
Can you match colours to my outfit?
Yes, we can. We offer dyeing services to ensure the hat complements your outfit perfectly. For the most accurate match, bringing fabric samples or images helps us achieve your desired colour precisely.
How long does the process take?
The process can take anywhere between 2 and 4 weeks. Please note that this is also subject to peak seasons. To help you feel assured and avoid last-minute stress, we recommend booking as early as possible to get the bespoke process started.
Can I have something made quickly?
Yes, we can make something last-minute, but this will be subject to surcharges. We usually suggest coming in for Ascot and summer bookings in April/May, as during our peak times, the process can take longer.
How much will my hat cost?
The price of your bespoke hat is dependent on the piece and the crafting process. Once you have had a consultation with Jess, we will have an idea of the prices and aim to work within your budget as best as possible. Please be aware that prices are subject to change. We will also take a deposit before going ahead with the hat.
Can I buy something off the shelf?
Yes, of course, you can buy anything we have ready-made in the studio or available on the website. We do still advise booking an appointment to try the hats on, as these pieces are not refundable, and it’s always best to make sure you have chosen the perfect one.
Can I refund or exchange my hat if I no longer need it?
No, we are unable to refund or exchange any bespoke hats, as with any of our couture pieces, since these are made to order and take a long time to craft to perfection. So, if your hat is no longer needed, we are unfortunately unable to help you.
