Hiring Terms and Conditions

Each hire piece is a unique piece of art, constructed with expensive (and often irreplaceable) materials and takes many hours to make. Please treat your hat with utmost care when hiring, and return it in the same pristine condition as it was received. 

There is only one hire sample available for each style, so it is important to note your return date and ensure it is safely returned to the JCM studio by this date at the very latest. 

During Ascot and busy periods, our hiring bookings are often back-to-back. Please be considerate of others and ensure a speedy and safe return so everyone can enjoy the same privilege. 

A security bond of £300 must be paid at the point of hire (checkout) to secure your booking. This amount will be refunded to you upon receipt of your return, provided it is within your return date and is not lost or damaged. 

Your security bond will not be returned if your hire is late, is damaged (including makeup or rain damage) or is lost. If the hat is lost or damaged beyond repair, you will be charged the additional amount to cover the full retail value of the piece (RRP £2200). 

All returns must be sent or delivered safely to our studio: Studio 4, 18 All Saints Rd, London W11 1HH. If you are returning your hire by post, please ensure that it is sent via recorded delivery in a secure and sturdy box to ensure it is not damaged in transit. The cost of postage both to and from you is additional to the hire cost.
